        What Is Different About Daisy Retreat?

    Daisy Retreat ® Bali is a totally unique psychotherapy retreat offering individual treatment for a wide range of psychiatric disorders. We see a maximum of 2 people at a time, everything from the therapy program to what you eat is entirely catered to your needs alone. We practice Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Based Mindfulness Therapy, Schema Therapy and Yoga.

    Daisy Retreat does not offer a "Quick Fix", we offer a proven Quick Recovery and the tools and guidance to go on to make lasting change in your life. The Daisy Retreat program attains on average a 96% improvement in mood and 92% improvement in anxiety.     The Daisy Retreat is set up to offer intensive individualized treatment programs; designed to make swift changes in overall functioning and mood.  Based on individual assessment, clients are required to sign up for minimum recommended treatment times and we collect statistics of our work. Our programs run from 10 to 58 days.

    We see a maximum of one person on retreat at a time and also run one day- care session for outside clients lasting 2.5 hours each day. On occasion, for example if a client needs to stay longer, we may have 2 retreats running at one time. Our intake for treatment is limited by this.

    Each day clients undergo 3 standard sessions of 1:1 CBT consecutively; 2.5 hours daily. They also have 1.5 hours of individual yoga and mindfulness training. They eat meals with their therapist, giving the therapist time to assess outside of the formal environment the client’s thoughts and behaviour and to reinforce the work done during session. Where environmental exposure is needed the therapist assists the client outside of the retreat. The therapeutic relationship is enhanced very quickly as the client and therapist spend a great deal of 1:1 time together and the therapist is onsite 24 hours a day.  

    As such we are a unique service and this has led to extraordinary treatment results but our programs do involve commitments of time and money. However, we do not have people stay with us a moment longer than we assess is necessary to affect actual sustainable change. 

    Some of our clients do require follow-up sessions and we do this via phone or in person.

    Our lead therapist was the Head of Therapy for 2 of the UK’s leading private Psychiatric facilities and has almost 30 years’ experience in the field of mental health.

    If I had my life to live over, I'd dare to make more mistakes next time. I'd relax, I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I'd have fewer imaginary ones. You see, I'm one of those people who lived sensibly and sanely, hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had to do it over again, I'd have more of them. In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute. If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than I have.

    If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances. I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.
